Technicians discuss on-site the actions and the monitoring to be carried out in each of the project’s stands

During the month of May, technicians of the MixForChange project have visited the stands of Bellmunt, Montnegre, Montseny and Ripollès. These visits have served to discuss in situ the inventory and monitoring protocols of the A2, D2 and D3 actions. In addition, during the course of these meetings, the team has also discussed management models and specific treatments to be carried out, suitable for each stand.

In the stands of Bellmunt-Collsacabra, they have visited a pine forest and an oak forest with leafy trees. In the Ripollès they have visited a wild pine forest with oak, maple and cherry tree and a mixed oak forest with leafy trees. In the Montseny, they have visited pine forest with oak and oak forest with pine. Finally, in the Montnegre, they have visited a chestnut forest with oak, large cherry, poplar islands; a mixed holm oak forest with chestnut trees, oak, cherry and other; a mixed oak canariensis-petraea and a pinewood pine forest with holm oak, cork oak, African oak and some large cherry trees.
