The LIFE MixForChange project ends…but adaptive and close-to-nature forest management must go on

After almost 6 years of innovation and transfer in adaptive and close-to-nature forest management, LIFE MixForChange project comes to an end. We want to thank all the people and entities that have participated in the project in one way or another and have contributed to its success.

We remain convinced of the need to continue promoting adaptive forest management, as it demonstrates the forest fires affecting the Mediterranean in the summer of 2022. In addition, close-to-nature management, as the one proposed in the project, seems to be a smart approach to respond to multiple objectives, summarized in two: ecological sustainability and economic sustainability.

During the next 5 years we will keep the project website active, from which we highlight the main publications, and other technical-dissemination documents and products.
