We have produced this catalogue in collaboration with the Catalan Wood and Furniture Guild and the Catalan Institute of Wood (Incafust), with the aim of showing the great diversity and relevance of the valuable broadleaves (hardwoods) timber transformation industry in Catalonia (Spain). We also introduce the main species under this category in Catalan forests and describe sustainable forest management an essential tool for the conservation of forests and their ecosystem services (including the generation of renewable products such as wood) and adapting them to the threats posed by climate change.
