The economic sustainability of adaptive forest management depends to a large extent of the demand of timber products. We have prepared a database of companies working in European Mediterranean areas (Southern and Eastern Spain, Italy, Slovenia and Croatia) that transform timber of broadleaved species present in Mediterranean sub-humid forests: chestnut, oak, ash, maple, cherry, pear tree, apple tree.
